Why Do People Get So Much More Emotional When An Animal Dies In Movies Than When A Person Dies?
At school today, we were watching a movie in my English class, and a dog was shot off screen, and the kids in my class were very emotional. Pretty much all of them had sad looks on their faces; one girl began tearing. However, when one of the human characters was killed, nobody really had any looks of sorrow on their faces. Why is it that people get more emotional when animals die in movies than when people die?
