I have been writing songs for a little while – I won’t pretend to be an expert! – In my experience you need to first have the reason to write a song and you definitely have that!
I start with the basic song structure. You will need an introduction, at leat two verses, the Chorus, and finally the Outro (conclusion), it can be vastly more complicated depending on how in-depth you want to get with the music etc. but that’s a starting point.
Then I brainstorm as many words/lines that I can think of to describe the message I want to pass on.
This can include simple things such as:
I’ll love you forever. Heartfelt. Trust. You mean the world to me. Compassion. Today and forever. Moments. Passion. Friendship. Never-ending. etc
But I find it’s the personal details that really make a song unique and meaningful. An example; my bf use to bring me Sunday breakfast in bed so I used it in one of the verses. Its little experiences that you both have shared – even funny ones. I often get inspiration from silly songs like Adam Sandler’s forgetful Lucy from the movie ’50 first Dates’.

Start by writing all the things down that he makes you feel, and all the things he has done for you. and things that make you think of him and things that are special for you and him and then u will be able to start working it into a song.

think about the color of his eyes, the gentleness of his touch, the way his hair feels through your fingers, etc.
